History, truth and emotion are key themes throughout my practice and I subsequently turn to these ideas, even when my first thoughts are not connected.

My work varies from each project and although I usually always begin by drawing, the outcome depends entirely on the development of the initial idea. When the opportunity arises to try something new, the challenge of making becomes more focused on the materials or processes.

To me, the process of making is as important as the final product. Project Ideas are usually triggered by an event, situation or encounter, that inspires deeper meaning which I can manipulate or exaggerate, literally or metaphorically. When I do decide to create something for the aesthetics, I find meanings are woven in. Continuing with these projects injects theories and purpose.
